Cluttered kitchen? Over eating?



A recent study looked into whether a cluttered environment was a factor in over eating?  The study suggests that due to the stress a messy and cluttered chaotic environment causes, it makes eating on your feelings “stress and anxiety” more likely.


Get into that kitchen and give it a spring clean and a good tidy up and get it organised.  It won’t take as long as you think and you will soon feel more relaxed and able to cope with life better, instead turning to biscuits.    I always get a sense of calm when the kitchen is super tidy!

Keep a fruit bowl with apples and pears and cherries or grapes etc out on the table.  This is proven to encourage healthier food choices, if you fancy something you will pick an a piece of fruit.  If you leave snacks and biscuits on show,  you will eat them, better still keep the biscuits in a box with a lid on in a cupboard!


We control what we buy and therefore what we eat.   We have a lot of choices, so stick to foods that are in their natural form and not in packages like cakes, biscuits, crisps, prepackaged desserts etc. Who ever thought we needed these anyway? These foods deplete you of minerals which are so important to your health.  You will be saving the environment at the same time as saving yourself!
